Paolo Campilongo’s story
I graduated in psychology in 2002 at University, while I also studied music sax. Having experienced problems with my balance and various other ones with the functioning of my body, I decided to try yoga in attempt to improve my psychophysical condition.
I met Patrizia Gregori a Iyengar yoga teacher in 2007 and started an individual treatment course. It proved very beneficial, giving me noticeable improvement in my physical condition.
However in 2009 I was diagnosed with MS (multiple sclerosis). I chose to bypass the normal channels and instead intensified my participation in yoga. I attended group lessons with Patrizia in her Centered Yoga Studio Dhyana school in Rome, and have continued to to this day.
In 2011, under the guidance of Patrizia, I met Dona Holleman. Attracted by the simplicity of the Centered Yoga method I took a Beginner Level Centered Yoga Teacher Training Course, held by Dona Holleman and Patrizia Gregori, continuing my journey of developing consciousness of my body and mind and improving my balance. I qualified as a yoga teacher in June 2015.
Since November 2015 I have been attending an Intermediate I Level Centered Yoga Teacher Training Course with Dona Holleman.
I have a room in my home where I have founded the Appio Claudio Centered Yoga Studio. I attend as a student, and collaborate as a teacher and secretary at Patrizia Gregori’s Centered Yoga Studio Dhyana. At the end of 2015 I set up a Centered Yoga course on Riccardo Percaccio’s Hibki premises.
